His Excellency Dr. C. Rangarajan in his message said that he was very happy to be associated with CFS, AP and stressed on the need of children making films which are not burdened by the fixated mindset of the grownups.  He said that in this age of the technological progress it is possible for children to wield the camera and make movies of their own.  “ If children can paint and exhibitions are held to appreciate their efforts, why should it not be possible for us to have an exhibition of the films made by children ??  he queried.  He said that he was looking forward to watching the two movies made for the first time in Hyderabad by school students during the 12^th ICFF.

His speech was followed by the screen of the two movies “My Favourite Teacher” and “Just For A Wish…” All present thoroughly enjoyed the movies.

Padmasree Dr. A. Nageshwara Rao said that he was regularly kept posted on the activities of CFS, AP.  He said that he was very disappointed to note that the main stream films which are being churned out on a regular basis are encouraging deviant behaviour in society.  He felt that organizations such as CFS, AP should be encouraged by one and all so that moral messages could be presented to children so that positive changes can be brought out slowly and steadily.  He too offered all the help possible to encourage the yeoman working being carried out by CFS, AP.

Soon after the Website was inaugurated by His Excellency, the Chairman of A.P.S.F. Tv. T.D.C., Padmasree D.V.S. Raju addressed the gathering and declared that in these times of the confused behaviour of adults in the society, the need of the hour was organizations like CFS, AP to spread the awareness of films which convey to the children the timeless values of the ancient traditions of this country.  He was happy that A.P.S.F.Tv. T.D.C. was already assisting CFS, AP in this endeavour and he promised all help during his tenure as the Chairman.

The inaugural function started off on a racy note with the keynote address presented by Sri M. Veda Kumar about the relentless activity of CFS, AP to further the cause of Children’s Film Movement.  Further he said, the activities such as regular screening of educative and entertaining children’s films, organizing Film Appreciation Programme for government and private school children and Teachers,  and organizing of regular children’s film festivals to bring world cinema to Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from the film screening, the children are being exposed to film making, theatre art, animation, puppetry, script writing and to other development programmes.
