The French Animation Children Festival was inaugurated by the Excellency Mr. Dominique Girard, Ambassador of France to India, along with Mr. Venkat Akkineni, Managing Director, Heart Entertainment Ltd., Basheeruddin Babukhan, President of Managing Committee of Alliance Francaise, Mr. Christophe Faucher, Director Alliance Francaise and Mr. M. Veda Kumar Chairman Children’s Film Society.

In the inaugural function of the festival was attended by two Hundred Students and Twenty Five teachers from fifteen schools of twin cities. The festival began with screening of nine short films titled The Managerie. This Screening provided a rich experience and exposure to the technology and approaches to Animated Film to the students.

The CFSAP is a medium through which students of A.P. are able to Educate themselves on the cross fertilization of culture and tradition across the globe.

His excellency Mr. Dominique Girard spoke in detail of Animation and Film making becoming an Independent media and also the Internertion  made in France by Several other organizations and Associations. He appreciated CFSAP for proiding rich exposer to the Student in the area of Children’s Film making.

Mr. Venkat Akkineni appreciated the Collaboration and expressed his keen desire to make a CFSAP a Platform which would provide a wide spectrum of film’s to the students of A.P.

Mr. Veda Kumar gave a panoramic view of all the Film Festivals, Workshops organizing by the Society. He expressed that the Animation Festivals are being organized by the society to give the knowledge about Animation Films which may help to the children while making An Animation Film by themselves. They looked forward from the French Embassy for support and co-ordination for Children’s Film movement.
