FILM MAKING WORKSHOP

The Film Making Workshops for school children on the occasion of 14^th International Children’s Film Festival, 2005 at Hyderabad are organized  by Children’s Film Society, A.P., in association with Children’s Film Society,India, A.P.State Film Tv & Theatre Development Corporation at Tirupati from 7^th – 9^th Nov, 2005 and at Vishakapatnam from 10^th – 12^th Nov, 2005.

The workshop focuses to develop skills in young students to be able to articulate their imagination in a sequential and meaningful way.  The techniques of film making is one such medium through which the wild imaginations are tamed down to realities.  The workshop spread over in three days where the technique of photography is dealt with in detail.  The nuances of the capturing events and placing them in order  to make a sensible sequence with the help of actors enacting the same are the essence of the workshop.  Training was given to the students in  the art of dubbing and editing which is the focal point of film making.  Thus the workshop is a medium to induce a germ of interest in the area of film making and enable students to surface their innate capabilities as meaningful film makers.  The potential of the children are discerned during the course of the workshop and the experts guided them to choose the right and direct path to learn the skill.

DURATION OF THE FILM 9 MINUTES

SYNOPSIS:

The story is woven around two characters Srinu and Prithvi. Srinu happens to be blind and Prithvi is a mischeous boy. Prithvi always plays mischievous with Srinu and makes fun of Srinu, due to which Srinu suffers a lot.

It so happens one day that Prithvi along with his friends participates in cycle game and accidentally falls down. Prithvi gets hurt on his eyes and is advised a week long rest. During his blindfolded rest he realizes that it is wrong to be mischievous with others.

Finally he apologizes to Srinu. The story ends with a happy note.

SYNOPSIS:

This is a story of Rambabu belongs to a poor family who want to go to school and study. The parents of Rambabu cannot afford to send him to school/because of their financial condition. Rambabu runs off from his house and happens to see a drunked person on the road and helps him to reach his home. Rambabu learns from the drunked man that the children will be rehabilitated and they would be given education and Juvenile Home. He also learns that he has to commit an offence to reach Juvenile Home. He commits a theft and ultimately reaches the jail.

The story ends with lot of questions posing to the audience like "Does this jail give education to Rambabu"
