Gajju was all hears on 16th Nov 2003 at 2pm at Prasad’s Multiplex. Where CFSAP held another session at open forum. The topic of the day was Films in School Curriculum -  Role of Parents & Teachers and The participants were Mr. Hans Strobel, Film maker (Germany), Ms. Christel Strobel, Film Maker (Germany), MS. Tove Cecilie Severdrup, Film maker (Norway), Ms. Sirim Eide, Film Maker (Norway), Mr. V.J. Samanth and Mr. K.B. Tilak.

 Opening the discussion, V.J. Samanth recollected in 1979 in the year of child, the first formal animation is established. There was no curriculum as such but children between 12-16 years targeted.

 Film maker from Norway Ms. Tove Cecilie Severdrup, told that children have lots of problems and they are not alone every country posses issues before the children depending on their culture all over the world children are undergoing the same pangs of years. But how much they protect us? In such circumstances the responsibility of children’s film making and elders is to make children feel secure by themselves.   

 Ms. Sirim Eide (Norway) asserted that films are for kids as well as for growers. They should take to learn children’s series. It is good for children to see films make their point of view. It teaches the important of children human being.

 Ms. Astrid Aakra, an accomplished animator from Norway was happy that many young people. She said that 2 film festivals, short & another Animation Film Festival. Besides regular and plenty of workshops are held for children to make animation films. As animation equipment become cheaper children are now free to let there imaginations go wide.

 Talking about role of parents & teachers Samanth demented that subjects of Science & maths are highly encouraged art is not. No important is given to drawing teachers. There creative talent totally overlooked. Samanth said that taking cue from Sweden; he conducted many Animation workshop for children from 1990 onwards at equipped with this knowledge. Some children make animation as a profitable career.

 In the question answer session that followed it was asked whether film makers find time to teach children in workshops. The resource persons from Norway said that the problem is in Norway to another child wondered what after attending workshops. Mr. Samant gave instances where children after several years remembered their participation in workshop needs efforts to carry there learning usefully for that. Another student worried that the workshops are limited. Mr. Samant assured him that with the existing limitations best is being done. There was a question that when film making as so many aspects would all these fit in school curriculum answering that question Veda Kumar, Chairman, CFSAP  told him in school children are  being taught to Film appreciation.

 A boy student felt at the some of the sense from films screened at 13th International Children’s Film Festival were not suitable for children he was insisted to give a specific incident he told that the 9years old main character smokes drinks and kisses a girl.

 In an interesting question girl student Garge asked we animate characters. Including animals can you animate but in reply the foreign spokes person  the use of animals is view of past. And gajju satisfactory flopping its ears whirling its tail.
