on the scripts prepared by the students of the “Script writing
Workshop” conducted on 1st Nov 2003. The students had
written scripts in three languages, viz, English(two scripts),
Telugu (one script), Hindi (one script) hence the workshop
envisaged to produce 4 units of film making over a period of 3
days.
The
workshop began with welcome note and the students were introduced
to the resource persons present. The children were divided into 4
groups depending on the presence of the language they chose. The
children along with the teachers were handed a script each and
were asked to understand the theme of the stories and the
dialogues written.
They are given the benefits of adding value to the
stories by including content to it. |
| |
|
|
The resource persons guided the
students by sharing their expertise in the script writing.
Mr. Anil Ekbote shared the nuances of writing a good
script. He guided the students of categorizing the story,
writing scene wise dialogues etc. |
 |
|
|
|
|
Mr. K.L.N. Prasad quoted
the words of the eminent film maker, Dr. Satyajit Ray and provided
insight regarding the knowledge of the kid of audience we are
writing a story for and for whom are we making a film. |
 |
| |
|
| |
|
|
The students then continued
their efforts in film making procedure. Each group assigned
various roles like Director, Cameraman, Editor, actors etc and
proceeded as per the guidance provided by the resource persons.
Mr. M.V. Raghu guided the students in understanding all the
processes involved in film making. Mr. Yashodar Rao guided took
charge of two units of the 4 and coached them. The workshop
continues up to 6th Nov. and shall produce a full
fledged which shall be screened in the International Children’s
Film festival 2003.
Eminent personalities and
pioneers of the film industry interact with the children at a very
personal level and sensitize the children to various aspects of
the film making which goes beyond a layman’s understanding. The
level of interaction is purely at an “Individual to individual”
level and thus went beyond the boundaries of professional
disparities. The children would be treated in par with the adults
and so an ambience of professionalism shall fill in the workshop
arena. The children would love every moment of the festival and
would cherish the memories of the festival for long years of their
lives. |
